Palm Beach Country Estates Neighbors
** October News **
Have no fear,
Trunk or Treat is almost here!
Sunday, October 30th, from 4:30—6:00 p.m.
Same location: 75th Avenue & 160th along the canal bank.
If you're new to the neighborhood or just need a recap . . . neighbors from around PBCE decorate the trunks of their cars (or back ends of your pick-up, trailer, golf cart, tractor, mud buggy, pop-up-tent, blow-up decoration, etc) and arrive between 3:45 - 4:15 pm on October 30th to SET UP YOUR TRUNK. Then, children from PBCE show up between 4:30 - 6:00 pm to trick-or-treat from one trunk to the next. This way, children in our neighborhood get to trick-or-treat close to home. It’s loads of fun, and you get to see neighbors! In the past we've had up to 40 trunks!! There is a prize for the best trunk, so be sure to pull out your best decorations. You can decorate as much or as little as you want.
Please Note: The location of Trunk or Treat will be slightly changed this year. It will take place further east on 160th, starting at 71st. This change was made to find a grassier and less dusty location and to avoid the dirt piles being stored there. We're keeping this location because the new park simply doesn't have enough room to park 40 cars.
TRUNKS: If you’re having a trunk, show up between 3:45—4:15. Please don't be late. You will NOT be eligible for the prize if you show up late. We want to keep our children as safe as possible, so we need trunks parked by 4:15.
You will park along the canal bank on 160th. From 155th, turn north on 75th Avenue. You will be parking along 160th between 75th Ave and 71th. You will get a number placed on your car when you register your trunk. Remember! Trunks can be decorated as MUCH or as LITTLE as you like! The more trunks, the better. There will be a prize for the best trunk! In the past we have had over 200 treaters so bring lots of candy to pass out!
TREATERS: Treaters arrive between 4:30—6:00. Please sign in so we can keep track of how many families participate and to get your ballot to vote on the best trunk. There will be a welcome table as you start walking. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite trunk on your way out! From 155th, take 75th Ave North to 160th, and head east to 73rd, 72nd or 71st park along one of those roads. We need to keep 160th clear for the fire truck that will be showing up to entertain the little ones.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We need lots of volunteers to help park cars and help sign in trunks and treaters at the welcome table. High School students are welcome and will receive volunteer credit. Bring your forms.
Email Chris Reinhardt at firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer or register your trunk, so we know how many to expect.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Even if you can't stay, please drop some non-chocolate candy at the welcome desk, or contact us ahead of time and we'll arrange to have it picked up from you. Thanks!
On average we have 40 trunks and over 200 children!
This is a great neighborhood event for both kids and adults!
Come on out and have some fun!!

Playground Grand Opening
On April 14, 2013 we had the Twisty Pines Playground Grand Opening Celebration!
It was a huge success and hundreds of neighbors from Palm Beach Country Estates came
out to celebrate the grand opening. Angie Toro presented a congratulatory letter to the PBCE Association on behalf of Congressman Patrick Murphy. There was food, games and fun for all. There was even an official ribbon cutting ceremony that all the kids participated in and a
good old fashioned tug-a-war. It was great to see so many neighbors come out and
enjoy the beautiful day and get to know our new park and playground.
